Update on return to school25 February 2021 (by admin) |
Dear Parents and Carers,
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday regarding the return to onsite education from the 8th March, we as School leaders have received and started to digest the DfE guidance. As you can imagine, putting new guidance into safe practice is a difficult task, so I thank you for your patience.
Today I want to share with you the most important details, with a more detailed communication coming to you by early next week, following the completion of our risk assessments and related operational decisions still to be made.
From Monday 8th March:
- All primary school children are to return - this includes Reception aged children.
- Attendance is deemed mandatory.
- Our wraparound childcare (Shine Clubs) will be reinstated to all Year groups.
- Children in primary schools are not being asked to wear face coverings.
- There is no need for class sizes to be adjusted from the usual size.
- Until at least Easter, Class/Year group bubbles will continue and groups will be kept apart wherever possible.
- No educational visits will take place at this time.
- Children will be expected to wear our full school uniform.
I hope this initial guidance has been helpful. Thank you for your time and patience.
Mr Dale Bateman
