World Book Day - Dress Up Day - Thursday 6th March14 February 2025 (by admin) |
Dear Parent/Carers,
To help promote a love of reading, we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 6th March 2025.
When we return from half term break, we will send a detailed update on all the wonderful events taking place across the 6th March to celebrate the day. For now, we thought you’d appreciate early notice that the day is a ‘dress up day’ for our school.
Children are invited to dress up as a loved book character if they wish. Alternatively, they may choose to wear an accessory such as a hat or mask instead, or even reuse a Halloween costume to become a character such as The Worst Witch or Harry Potter. Some of your favourite characters may not have such a unique look, such as a blue dress for Matilda or a smart jacket to be Mr Wonka. Please do not feel pressured to purchase new costumes.
P.E Kits: To ensure all children can dress up on the day, if your child's class has P.E on Thursdays, for the 6th March we will alter the P.E session so that activities can be completed in their dress up clothes.
We are very excited to have a fun day, full of books, reading and storytelling!
With Kind Regards,
Coopersale and Theydon Garnon C.E. Primary School
